Born From the Experience of Beginning Again

The vision of HER Path Forward grew from the lived experiences of our founder, Melissa A. Rivers, whose own journey has included breast cancer, divorce, career transitions, and the difficult work of rebuilding when life did not go according to her plan.

Through those experiences, she discovered something important:

Resilience isn't always about bouncing back, sometimes resilience means honoring what happened, taking what you learned with you, and having the courage to build something different.

That understanding became the foundation for HER Path Forward, Inc.

What began as a desire to help women recover from difficult circumstances evolved into a larger vision: to create pathways that help women rebuild their confidence, rediscover their strengths, access meaningful resources, and make intentional decisions about the lives they want to create next.

Every Woman Deserves a Path Forward

Sometimes life changes gradually. Other times, everything changes in a moment.

A diagnosis. A divorce. A career transition...a life you no longer recognize --- or one you know you can no longer return to.

In those moments, much of the attention is understandably focused on getting through the immediate crisis.

We Believe Surviving Is Not the End of the Story

HER Path Forward is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women Heal, Evolve & Rise after life-changing experiences and significant transitions.

We support women as they navigate the space between "I made it through" and "I'm ready to build my next chapter."

Moving forward often requires more than encouragement, it requires information, resources, strategy and the support of simply having someone remind you that there are still possibilities ahead.

That is the space HER Path Forward was created to fill.
